One of the most powerful truths we can embrace during this season is that God has spoken to us through His Son. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). God has made a way back home for us all, and the way is Jesus.
Sometimes people wish that God would speak to them in more miraculous ways. They wish He would communicate with them as He did with Abraham, Isaac, or Jacob, but what they don’t realize is that we have, in the person of Christ, the most complete and compelling communication of God’s love and will that there is.
God has spoken. He has spoken clearly and decisively through, in, and by the person of Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 1:1-4 – In the past God spoke to our forefathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways, but in these last days He has spoken to us by His Son, whom He appointed heir of all things, and through whom He made the universe. The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of His being, sustaining all things by His powerful word. After He had provided purification for sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven. So He became as much superior to the angels as the name He has inherited is superior to theirs.
