For most of us pastor types, the dreaming-up and subsequent communication of God-sized, biblical, dreams is not the most difficult part of the vision process.
For many of us, the most difficult part of the vision process is the implementation and ensuing management of that vision.
I remember feeling discouraged in my first pastorate at the lack of practical implementation of vision. I was sure that I knew what God’s Word said about the church’s mission and vision. I was sure that I had communicated those truths clearly to the congregation. I just could not figure out the source of the disconnect. Was it me? Was it them? Was it the communication process? What was the problem?
The problem I had was the same problem that many pastors have. I could not figure out how to make the ideal practical or the philosophical tangible.
