John 1:1-5, 9, 14

Reader 1: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Reader 2: He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Reader 1: In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
Reader 2: The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
Reader 1: The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world.
Congregation: And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
