Forgiveness (may be read responsively/from Psalm 130)

God, when life is overwhelming us and we are buried by concerns and confusion,

we call out to You as best we can.

Please hear us. Please listen to us.

We feel so unworthy to be with You.

If You kept track of all the ways we have failed to love You and our fellow human beings, we would never measure up.

If You treated us as we deserved, we would be doomed.

But You give us forgiveness—just what we need!

So today we worship You.

Today we put our hope in the fact that You redeem us from our sin.

Today we thank You for loving us.
