How could we forget? How could we be so much like Job? How could we fail to be awestruck by God’s majesty?
Yet sometimes we do forget. And like Job, we need to hear anew the details of the wonders of God’s creative power.
Job’s suffering led him to doubt God, so our heavenly Father reminded him, and us, of His unfathomable ways:
He laid the earth’s foundations (Job 38:4).
He set the boundaries of the oceans (v.8).
He sends the morning sun (v.12).
He controls life and death (v.17).
He sends the snow, rain, and hail (vv.22,26,30).
He imprints knowledge on the heart (v.36).
He sets the time for the birth of animals (39:1-3).
He gives creatures like the ostrich their unusual ways of life (vv.13-18).
He instills the horse with great power (vv.19-25).
He directs the hawk and the eagle (vv.26-30).
Each day, this earth shouts aloud a song of recognition of its Creator. Let’s take some time today to echo that tune and pour out our praise to our mighty Creator-God.
May we never forget God’s awesome majesty! —JDB — Dave Branon
I feel every minute of our life we are to PRAISE our GOD. Nothing else makes any sense. Everything in our life is full of temporary feelings that make us do things that may not give our God praise and glory. We need to give HIM praise regardless of how we feel at any time, we have to ask ourselves every minute How does what I am doing now praise our God.
